Faculty members of the College of Technologies (COT) at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) held a two-day training-workshop to recalibrate learning materials for the Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) Modality in alignment with the university’s SMART Education vision on August 19-20, 2024, at the BukSU Hotel.
The workshop sessions aimed to enhance the teaching and learning experience of the students.
Key topics included mainstreaming gender in the curriculum of the technologies undergraduate program, recalibration inputs, and the integration of SMART pedagogies. It also included a session on constructive alignment, the development of assessment tools, and how to craft them effectively.
Moreover, the workshop explored learning management systems and applications for instruction to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, alongside innovative teaching strategies and the development of instructional materials.
A presentation of outputs by faculty members’ work underwent critique and assessment to ensure that all materials have met the recalibration standards set for HyFlex and SMART Education.
“This workshop was incredibly helpful. Recalibration is an important activity as it ensures that we stay up-to-date with technology and continue to provide more innovative ways to teach our lessons,” said Glyza Mae Libe, COT faculty member. (Mr. Raul D. Lecaros/ College Secretary, COT)
