Mission
The Quality Assurance Office is primarily responsible for ensuring that the standards of quality in the university are met and that the office has an internal mechanism to continuously improve the quality of the different programs, offices and units. The office also ensures that these mechanism are compliant with the national and international standards of excellence.
Goals
- To promote and implement quality-related strategic developments within sustainable quality assurance and enhancement frameworks and procedures in accordance with the university vision and strategic planning.
- To monitor, review, audit, evaluate and continuously develop institutional and program accreditation.
- To provide administrative and substantive support for quality assurance and enhancement at all levels of the university, and
- To support the institutional and program accreditation processes and contents for external organizations and agencies.
Objectives
- Coordinates with the top management of the university in setting up and strengthening quality assurance structures and mechanisms;
- Supervises the university's quality audit group;
- Spearheads accreditation activities in coordination with academics and other units;
- Ensures integration of recommendations from partner accrediting agencies in the university's annual plans and monitors their full implementation; and
- Implements document management system to ensure acuracy and readiness of information for purposes of quality assurance activities.
Objectives
The Quality Assurance Office examines whether the activities of the university meet the standards set by the higher education monitoring bodies, both nationally and internationally:
AACCUP
The accreditation cycle starts with the Level Visit which includes:
- Planning and preparation of visit
- Actual visit
- Dissemination of results
- Monitoring of the extent of compliance
COE/COD
It determines whether a program within a higher education institution demonstrates excellent performance in the areas of instruction, research and publication, extension and linkages, and institutional qualifications.
COPC
The Certificate of Program Compliance is issued per program upon full compliance with CHED polices, standards and guidelines.
ISA
This is a mechanism whereby CHED evaluates whether the institution follows the quality assurance parameters set by CHED.
ISO
The internal and external audit is based on the policies and procedures set by the different offices of the university; whether the offices follow what they set out to do in their manual of operation.
PQA
It is a national award program that recognizes achievements of public and private sector organizations in their journey towards performance excellence.
