Bukidnon State University (BukSU) renewed its partnership with member institutions of the National Network of Normal Schools (3NS) on October 15, 2026, through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that sets out joint initiatives in teacher education.
The signing took place during the 3NS Collaboration and Planning Meeting hosted by the Philippine Normal University from October 14-16, 2026. The agreement covers cooperation in curriculum development, faculty and professional development, research, extension and internationalization.
The partnership aims to prepare Filipino teachers for the demands of the education sector through joint programs among participating institutions. It also provides for cooperation in mental health and well-being services for faculty and staff.
In her statement of commitment, BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol linked the partnership to the University’s 102-year history of creating hope, opportunity and transformation through education.
“I believe that when institutions come together, share their strengths, and learn from one another, we create possibilities far greater than what we can achieve alone,” Mirasol said.
She expressed hope that the renewed partnership would strengthen the shared mission of preparing “excellent, compassionate, and future-ready teachers” who will help shape the nation’s future.
Attending the meeting for BukSU are Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ann Sheila C. del Rosario, Dean of the College of Education; and Dr. Rizza R. Consad, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Unit.
The three-day meeting also focuses on developing priority collaborative programs, committee work plans, and the network’s implementation roadmap for 2026–2036. (Joanne Vivien B. Necosia/ Director, Presidential Management Staff)
