BukSU College of Medicine joins Bukidnon Medical Society for Medicine Week 2026 Opening

Faculty members of the Bukidnon State University (BukSU) College of Medicine joined the Bukidnon Medical Society in a ceremonial wreath-laying on September 20, 2026, marking the official opening of Medicine Week 2026.

The event formed part of the Philippine Medical Association’s (PMA) nationwide celebration, themed “PUHON: Makabagong PMA, Para sa Mas Malusog na Bukas,” highlighting the role of physicians in advancing medical practice and building healthier, more resilient communities.

BukSU’s participation in Medicine Week carries significant weight following the university’s historic launch of the province’s first medical school in August 2026.

According to the college, BukSU reaffirmed its solidarity with the practicing medical community and demonstrated its long-term commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and community-oriented physicians. The partnership underscores the university’s mission to train future medical leaders who will serve the underserved and drive sustainable rural health development.

In line with the celebration’s theme, it has lined up a series of institutional and community activities from September 22 to 24, focusing on digital health, environmental wellness, employee health, and mental well-being.
