Twenty-four newly hired non-teaching personnel of Bukidnon State University have completed their six-month probationary period, marking their official induction into the SMART BukSU Workforce during the onboarding program on May 8, 2024, at Balai ha BukSU.
“Thank you everyone for your support in this quest of the university. I would like to congratulate you. Love your work, and let us help our major stakeholders, our students. Without your role, our mission and vision at BukSU will not succeed. Love this journey so that we will all be happy at the university,” said BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.
BukSU’s Project Management Unit Head and Project Development Officer III, Arch. Windel D. Bragat was one of the personnel who received the Certificate of Completion of his probationary period.
“I would like to express my greatest gratitude for the opportunity given. We (the completers) look forward to the good memories while working at BukSU,” Bragat said.
In addition to the giving of certificates, the Human Resource and Management Unit, through its Learning and Development Division, organized training sessions for the personnel.
Dr. Xyle Fe A. Verbal, the Human Resource Officer, delivered a stress management and mental health and wellness talk. Dr. Chaseur Leo Vann Ontolan, Management Staff Head of the Office of the VP for Admin and Finance, shared about the importance and ways to write office communication effectively. Ms. Astred Jill A. Catolpos, Head of the Presidential Technical Operations, gave a background and tips on basic customer service for office personnel.
“Thank you for this activity; I believe that this will greatly help us in the workplace,” said Nikki Grace Mahinay, Supplier Office I.
“Let us celebrate your dedication, resilience, and eagerness to contribute to our shared vision of academic excellence and innovation, as well as our goal to become a SMART university. The knowledge and skills that you have acquired during this onboarding process will undoubtedly strengthen our institution and propel us towards even greater heights,” said Vice President for Administration and Finance, Mr. Dante S. Victoria, Jr.
The six-month probationary period follows the guidelines outlined in Section 14 and Rule V of the 2017 Civil Service Commission’s Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resources Actions.
Throughout this timeframe, immediate supervisors closely monitor personnel performance to evaluate suitability for the position and implement necessary measures to enhance performance.
