To welcome the new year, a communal ritual was held in Bukidnon State University main campus on January 11, 2024.
Facilitated by the Bukidnon Studies Center (BSC), the conduct of this ritual is BukSU’s faithfulness in adhering cultural sensitivity and also an expression of appreciating Bukidnon culture.
“Pangampu, a communal ritual facilitated by the BSC, is an acknowledgment that the university needs the intervention of the Magbabaya of all its endeavors for the whole year,” Ms. Loreta Sol Dinlayan, Director for Bukidnon Studies Center said.
Representatives from the BukSU community attended the ritual – DXBU 104.5 FM, Student Leadership and Development Unit, BukSU Dormitories, Sociology and Social Sciences Department, Research Center for Peace Studies, IP students, BukSU faculty and personnel.
Also in attendance were Hon. Renato Sumbongan, Malaybalay City IPMR, Virgilio Namoc, Council of Elder member of Bukidnon-Tagolwanen tribe, and Bai Mangunguyag Balansag, the ritualist. (with reports from Ms. Loreta Sol S. Dinlayan)
