LANTAPAN BUKIDNON – The Extension Unit of Bukidnon State University spearheaded a sustainable livelihood training project for the residents of Lantapan, Bukidnon.
The “Empowering the Communities through Livelihood and Technology Towards Sustainable Development” project is a collaborative effort of the different colleges and departments of the university that aims to uplift the community by introducing sustainable livelihood opportunities and improving the socio-economic conditions of the residents.
Scheduled for the second half of the year are series of interactive training sessions on bread and pastry, computer literacy, food processing, and basic automotive troubleshooting.
Together with the local government of Lantapan, the trainings will empower individuals with skills that can open opportunities for additional income sources and enhance financial resilience. Moreover, it fosters community cooperation, knowledge sharing, and support networks within the municipality.
The series of trainings combines hands-on experiences, theoretical knowledge, and practical skills. (With reports from Extension Unit)
