The Department of Interior and Local Government-Bukidnon (DILG-Bukidnon) and Bukidnon State University signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) anchored on a nationwide initiative to combat illegal drugs dubbed as, “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” or the BIDA Program.
BIDA Program was launched in 2022 as a multisectoral campaign against illegal drugs mainly to address the challenges through information, education, and communication (IEC).
The agreement served as a formal phase for the College of Public Administration and Governance (CPAG)- Extension and DILG-Bukidnon to lead services for identified communities.
According to DILG-Bukidnon, “BukSU, a distinguished academic institution in Bukidnon and Region 10, emerges as a valuable ally in championing the BIDA Program’s objectives. The university’s commitment to promoting a drug-free environment aligns seamlessly with the broader goals of the initiative, emphasizing community welfare and development.”
The signing was attended by University President Joy M. Mirasol, Vice President for Research Extension and Innovations Dr. Carina Joane V. Barroso, Extension Unit Director Dr. Jiemalyn B. Paulican, CPAG Dean Dr. Lalevie C. Lubos, Program Chair of Masters and Doctor in Public Administration Dr. Rona Celeste V.
