Empowering Educational Leadership: PowerED Initiative Kicks Off with Data-Driven Training

Educational leaders from the 10 districts of the Division of Malaybalay City engaged in the Data-Driven and Constructively Aligned Assessment training under the PowerED initiative, equipping themselves with essential skills for exemplary educational leadership in the dynamic educational landscape.

Malaybalay, November 22, 2023 – The PowerED project, aimed at enhancing the competencies of school heads for exemplary educational leadership, marked a significant milestone with its inaugural training session at the Bukidnon State University – ELS Quadrangle. The event, which focused on Data-Driven and Constructively Aligned Assessment for School Administrators, drew participation from 89 School Heads and Administrators representing the 10 Districts in the City of Malaybalay.

Dr. Derren N. Gaylo, Head of the Center for Educational Analytics at Bukidnon State University, captivated the audience as he shared insights on data-driven educational leadership during the inaugural training session of the PowerED Project.

His presentation centered on the crucial process of utilizing data to inform assessment practices, guiding participants in developing constructively aligned assessments tailored to their respective schools.
