MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – Following a month-long preparation for the bidding of the host school, the Bukidnon State University – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (BukSU-JPIA) is now set to host the 30th Annual Regional Convention on May 6-7, 2023.
The said event focused on the theme “SIKLAB: Casting Flames through Emblazing Acuity.” This is to welcome the diverse and skillful Accountancy students from the ten universities across the merged region of Region X and CARAGA at the heart of Bukidnon.
Regional Vice President for Membership Syreal Jane Pajalla, who is also a Regional Officer and one of the organizers of this annual event, expressed his gratitude to the whole BukSU-JPIA for their extended help.
“I feel a great sense of pride that the doors of my beloved university will welcome delegates from different local chapters of the joint region,” she said.
She also mentioned how this event will genuinely impart memorable experiences to the delegates as well as to the entire Bukidnon State University Community.
The Annual Regional Convention is a yearly celebration facilitated by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA) of Region X and CARAGA, which aims to provide an avenue for the JPIAns to showcase their talents in the fields of Academic and Non-Academic, including different events like Accounting Series Cups, Case Study competition, Sports, CineJPIA, and various talent competitions.
While it seems like the BukSU-JPIA has achieved an enormous legacy and is well prepared to host the event after owning the bidding presentation last March 5, 2023, it is also undeniable how the organization struggled and juggled to meet the necessities to come up with the best representation possible- promoting Bukidnon State University and showcasing the beautiful culture and scenery of Bukidnon in general.
The BukSU JPIA Officers prepared for the bidding before eventually winning and being announced as the host for this year’s convention. They have canvassed hotels, negotiated with catering services owners, and outsourced different technical providers as part of their preparation.
The efforts of BukSU-JPIA were to live by the organization’s legacy and proof of the federation’s mantra: “Excellence. Greatness. Purpose.”
The BukSU-JPIA is set to welcome Caraga State University – Cabadbaran, Central Mindanao University, Christ the King College, Father Saturnino Urios University, La Salle University of Ozamis, Liceo De Cagayan University, Masters Technological Institute of Mindanao, Mindanao State University – IIT, and San Isidro College.
There are approximately over 600 participants who will be competing to bring pride to their respective universities.
The BukSU-JPIA is looking forward to a successful event, together with the leadership of the NFJPIA Region X and CARAGA – Kaizen Federation who continuously behold the spirit of excellence.
They also extended their gratitude to the top management of BukSU for the support given to them. (Glenn Mark Cepada/COB-Accountancy)
