BukSU cites innovations in online vehicle, feedback management systems

MALAYBALAY CITY(OP-IPS/) The Chief Administrative Office cited as two of the university administration’s innovations the conversion of the university’s vehicle and feedback management systems from manual to computer-generated platforms.

“Through ICT’s technology integration, from the usual manual application, we now have a new gate pass system called vehicle management system that can be accessed both by the employees and even by our outside stakeholders,” Ms. Rosanna S. Generato, Chief Administrative Officer for Administrative Services, said in Cebuano during the Episode 6 of the BukSU Updates 202 radio program aired on February 9, 2022 in DXBU 104.5 FM.

She added that this innovation is just a way of strengthening the “No Gate Pass, No Entry” policy of the university.

“It is important for our employees with vehicles entering the university to register in the vehicle management system and comply with the requirements approved by the university,” she said.

She added that once they are approved, they will be given a sticker as a means for them to enter the university.

She also reminded the applicants to abide by Malaybalay City’s traffic rules, which includes the 10 kilometer per hour speed limit inside campus, the “No Blowing of Horns”, the No Overloading, and the No Helmet No Travel policy.

Ms. Generato mentioned equivalent sanctions for failure to abide by the rules.  For the first offense, the violator will be reprimanded; for the second offense, the applicants will be required a letter of explanation; and for the third offense, revocation of the gate pass.

Mr. Mofel John M. Cañete said the ICT/Security Services Unit can monitor the entry and exit of vehicles through QR code scanning of the vehicle passes.

As of February 7, 2022, the CAO Admin reported a total of 326 applicants who were given gate passes with 11 applicants were disapproved due to submission of expired license and certificate of registration.

BOSES
Another innovation from the ICT services, Ms. Generato said, is the new feedback management system called BOSES (BukSU’s Online Survey on Client and Employee’s Satisfaction), which is a translation is Filipino for “voice.”

“This was created in order to strengthen the feedback management of the university, in line with the Quality Management System policy, that we commit and highly recognize the satisfaction of our stakeholders,” she said.

Mr. Domingo Ramirez III, secretariat for the BOSES technical working group, said this used to be the manual feedback survey, which the Feedback Management Committee revised and pushed to be converted online.

BOSES now uses rating in nine dimensions: responsiveness (pagtugon), reliability (maaasahan), access and facilities (lokasyon), communication (pakikipag-usap), value for money (gastos), integrity (katapatan), assurance (pagtitiwala) outcome (resulta sa serbisyo), and overall satisfaction rating.

Ramirez said the new online feedback platform allows one to generate a QR code or link that allows a rater to directly send it to the concerning office. He said this helps stakeholders give accurate feedbacks without hesitations.
