College of Social Development and Technology (CSDT) instructor Rene M. Chavez’s invention on instructional trainer for electrical lighting and car alarm with central locking system won second place in the DOST-X Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit.
This contest was held to gather all the innovations by Filipinos so that they can help in the development of the country. One such innovation is this instructional trainer which will help develop the automotive technological capacity of the Filipino students as they enroll in such programs in TESDA, K-12 automotive strand and SUCs’ industrial technology programs.
Chavez has a Master of Arts degree in Technician Teacher Education at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines and a Certified Master of Automobile Technician overhauling old and new gasoline and diesel engines.
