To strengthen digital innovation and equip participants with modern tech skills, the College of Technologies conducted Training 2 of the EXTEND 2026: Extending Technology and Enabling Digital Marketing program on May 11-12 and 13–14, 2026.
Two training sets were scheduled through a two-day intensive program that focused on transforming standard mobile phones into marketing tools by teaching participants how to capture clear, organized, and commercially viable product images, and focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for digital marketing content creation and material development.
Participants mastered mobile camera operations, product setup, and digital marketing strategies before applying these concepts in a hands-on workshop and critique session during the first phase.
The second phase kicked off under the theme “Introduction to AI for Digital Marketing Content.” Trainers introduced participants to the fundamentals of AI and its rapidly growing role in the modern business landscape.
Sessions were focused on the art of prompting, breaking down the specific components required to craft an effective AI prompt.
Faculty members and trainers from the College of Technologies facilitated hands-on workshops and demonstrations, guiding participants through AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT and Canva. Attendees actively explored generating AI-driven captions, taglines, and marketing copy.
The second phase of the program shifted to “Creating Digital Marketing Materials Using AI.” Discussions highlighted the elements of high-converting digital marketing materials, the strategic use of templates for promotional content, and advanced AI-assisted caption generation.
The training culminated in a dynamic workshop where participants developed their own AI-assisted marketing materials. The attendees then showcased their final outputs during a presentation session, receiving direct feedback from the tech experts. (Rov Japheth G. Oracion/ Faculty, IT Department)
