Bukidnon State University ranked 85th among 161 public universities across eight Southeast Asian countries and fifth among 32 Philippine universities in the AppliedEdu Public University Ranking ASEAN 2027.
AppliedEdu’s ASEAN 2027 methodology assigns 40% of the total score to teaching and learning, 15% to employability and 15% to research. Institutional reputation, community engagement and internationalization each account for 10%.
Teaching and learning covers student satisfaction, measured through the AppliedEdu Student Survey, and the faculty-to-student ratio. Employability measures the proportion of graduates who are employed, self-employed or pursuing further studies within six months of graduation, based on graduate tracer studies.
Research assessment uses publication and citation data from SCImago, Google Scholar or Scopus. Institutional reputation is measured through peer nominations, while community engagement considers news coverage and student survey responses. Internationalization is assessed through the ratios of international students and faculty.
AppliedEdu is a Singapore-based education technology company that has compiled university rankings since 2021. The independent AppliedEdu Ranking Advisory Board oversees the development and compilation of its rankings. (BukSU – Information Unit)
