BukSU Law Launches, Elevates Security Exams with Examsoft

To improve classroom management performance, enhance student learning outcomes, and increase efficiency in the grading and assessment processes of Bukidnon State University – College of Law (BukSU-COL), Examsoft was launched on January 15, 2025.

Examsoft is an all-in-one digital platform that provides secure exams and data to improve learning outcomes, teaching strategies, and accreditation processes.

“We officially declare our readiness to implement exams for the benefit of our students. This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to strengthening academic initiatives and delivering exceptional legal education,” College of Law Dean Atty. Ophelia Pilar Zamora said.

“This is a significant breakthrough towards our vision of transforming BukSU into a SMART BukSU. The College of Law now represents one of its names. It embodies C for Competence, O for Objectivity, and L for Leadership.  Through Examsoft, a secure technology-driven platform used by the Supreme Court for Bar Exams for our future ethical legal professionals they will experience cutting-edge assessment and methods that are all in global standards,” SMART BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol expressed.

“Through this innovation in assessment, we strengthen our academic mentoring through the simulation of the Bar exams. The rigors of Juris Doctor program are daunting, and success in the Bar Exams requires not just mastery of legal knowledge but also familiarity with the digital testing environment. The trajectory of the new administration is to build a SMART College of Law within a SMART University, and being smart entails being soft,.. meaning (using) software,” Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela shared.

“I commend with the rest of the officials of BukSU the incredible effort of the College of Law for bringing this transformative platform to our campus. Examsoft boasting of its secure computer-based testing platform focuses on creating and administering exams in a controlled, monitored environment, and offers strong analytics to enhance the assessment process which is really a big step towards how we can revise/modify so we can come up with quality teaching,” Dr. Cecille Marie T. Improgo, Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning Head said.

Examsoft allows instructors to create and upload exams using the platform with varied exam types. Students can download the exams on their devices yet the platform ensures secure delivery. It incorporates security features like identity verification, AI-based proctoring as well as flagging suspicious behavior for review.

“What makes it more valuable is its ability to provide advanced performance analytics to assess individual and group performance highlighting areas of strength of improvement (of the Law students),” Improgo added.

The platform brings a distinct advantage to BukSU Law students giving them early familiarity with the system that will be used in the Bar Exams. For the faculty, the Examsoft streamlines the process of exam creation, administration, and grading allowing them to dedicate more time to guiding and mentoring the students helping them to make informed decisions to enhance educational quality. For BukSU, the adoption of Examsoft reinforces the university’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
