The Bukidnon State University (BukSU) College of Technologies (COT) conducted its 2nd Semester Orientation for the Academic Year 2024-2025 on January 14, 2025 via a virtual meeting platform for students on the college’s policies, faculty members, and academic expectations for the new semester.
The faculty members from various departments, including Information Technology, Food Technology, Electronic Technology, and Automotive Technology, were introduced.
Dr. Marilou O Espina, COT Dean, reminded students to practice time management in their studies.
College policies and procedures were also discussed with the students.
Faculty member Gil Nicholas Cagande provided insights into the intersection of technology and ethical practices in the academic field through his talk on “AI and Ethics in Education.”
Ebbe Joy H. Bercero, RPm emphasized the importance of mental health and wellness in her talk on the guidance counseling services available to students.
Kervin Untalan also outlined the academic calendar on the important dates and events to help students plan effectively for the semester.
Meanwhile, the College Governor of the Student Body Organization, John Lester Ybañez encouraged students to engage in extracurricular activities and actively participate in student-led initiatives.
In addition, other colleges of BukSU also conducted their respective student orientations to kick off the second semester of the academic year. These orientations aimed to ensure that students across various disciplines are well-informed about their academic journey and the resources available to them. (Czarissa Louise A.
