Bukidnon State University (BukSU) made a significant impact at the First Regional Technology Transfer Conference, held on February 7, 2025, at the Acacia Ballroom, Chali Resort and Conference Center, Cagayan de Oro City. Themed “Empowering Regional Innovation: Bridging Research, Industry, and Society for Smart Futures through Commercialization,” the conference brought together experts, innovators, and educators to discuss the role of technology transfer in fostering regional development.

A key highlight of the event was BukSU’s receipt of the prestigious “Most Commercial-Ready Technology” award. This recognition was awarded for BukSU’s innovative products, Canned Binaki and Spanish-Style Tofu, which were showcased during the conference. Mr. Kervin Untalan, a representative from BukSU, delivered a compelling technology pitch that highlighted the market readiness of these products, demonstrating the university’s commitment to bringing research innovations to life in a practical, commercial context.
