BukSU Alubijid Joins 90th National Book Week Celebration

National Book Week, celebrated annually from November 24 to 30, is established under Proclamation No. 109 (1936) and Proclamation No. 837 (1991), which also designates November as Library and Information Services Month.

The Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Alubijid Campus marked the 90th National Book Week with a series of engaging activities from November 13 to 15, 2024.

In collaboration with 15 other BukSU satellite campuses across Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental, the celebration kicked off with an inter-campus webinar titled “Beyond Algorithms: Creative and Ethical Use of Education,” led by Mr. Hermenio B. Cabusog, Jr., faculty member and research coordinator of the BukSU Talisayan Campus.

Mr. Cabusog’s presentation emphasized the importance of creativity and ethical practices in education, setting the stage for a celebration that highlighted intellectual and personal growth.

The event featured a variety of activities, including the Joy of Reading Selfie, Bookmark Making, Bookworm competitions, and exhibitions showcasing library services and best practices.

This year’s theme, “Magbasa. Mangarap. Magdiwang.”
