In her message, BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol emphasized that research and development are vital investments in the country’s future, ensuring that the Philippines remains competitive in an ever-evolving global landscape.

“We must create an environment where our students, faculty, and stakeholders collaborate to turn knowledge into action, bridging gaps between technology, policy, and practice. By doing so, we can improve the lives of every Filipino, strengthen our ecosystem, preserve our environment, and uplift the quality of life for future generations,” Mirasol said in a message read by Dr. Carina Joanne V. Barroso, BukSU’s Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation. (Ms. Jessabell Q. Cabada, Head, Research Services Management Staff/ Photo: BukSU Research Unit)
