MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) The Bukidnon State University hosted the 43rd Philosophical Association of the Visayas and Mindanao (PHAVISMINDA) Conference via Zoom Application on November 16, 2021.
This was the first time BukSU hosted the annual conference of the professional group pf philosophy educators, practitioners, and graduate students. Dr. Zita I. Dales, Dean of the BukSU College of Arts and Sciences gave the opening remarks for the one-day conference with around 71 participants from Visayas and Mindanao.
Distinguished speakers from various institutions from the Visayas and Mindanao spoke on talks relating to the theme “Subjectivity and Post-Coloniality: The Challenge of Filipino Identity.”
BukSU Philosophy Department educators Christian J. Inovejas and Ms. Glio Joy Layos were elected as PHAVISMINDA secretary and auditor respectively. (OP-IPS)
