Key personnel from Bukidnon State University’s Information Unit (IU), Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICTU), and International Affairs and Linkages Unit (IALU) visited two universities in the Visayas for benchmarking activities on November 14–16, 2023.
The objective of this undertaking was to assimilate the best practices of Cebu Normal University (CNU) in Cebu City and Visayas State University (VSU) in Baybay City, Leyte.
The IU team, consisting of Rodrigo Bolivar II, John Dale Belderol, and Dr. Joanna Ruth Paloma, engaged with counterparts to gain insights and tips for the creation of a university brand book. This initiative aimed to strengthen the identity, perception, and reputation of BukSU.
Mr. Donald Donasco, the head of BukSU’s ICTU, was exposed to the different ICT systems implemented by CNU and VSU. This immersion sought to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of educational delivery and administrative services within the two benchmarked institutions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rizza Consad, the head of IALU, engaged in discussions with her counterparts at CNU and VSU to obtain additional knowledge on strategies to augment international partnerships and successfully secure quality ratings for BukSU.
“These benchmarking activities served as a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation among BukSU, CNU, and VSU. The BukSU team not only gained valuable insights into the academic practices of CNU and VSU but also developed a genuine appreciation for the scenic beauty and educational ethos that define these esteemed institutions,” said Paloma.
