MALAYBALAY CITY – The Bukidnon State University College of Technologies Student Body Organization organized an event to pay tribute to the unwavering love shown by parents with a theme: A Lifetime of Gratitude: Celebrating the Love and Sacrifices of our Parents at the University Gymnasium on June 7, 2023.
This event aimed to recognize and honor the pivotal role parents play in shaping the lives of their children.
At the start of the program, the students escorted their parents to the stage to give them recognition for their tireless dedication and countless sacrifices.
Dr. Marilou O. Espina, Dean of the College of Technologies, delivered an inspirational message to the students, parents, and guardians.
Each department of the College had a student and parent representative who shared their stories of success. After the sharing session, the students performed a song for their parents and had the opportunity to present gifts and flowers as they sang the song.
Mrs. Rosalinna Cain, a proud parent of one Information Technology student, shared her story of success.
“Gapasalamat gud ko sa akong ana nga naningkamot nga makahuman ug skwela bisan sa kalisod sa among kinabuhi (I am really thankful to my daughter who persevered in her studies despite our difficulties in life)”, she said.
One of the event’s highlights was the recognition of performing students from each department and the college, who were awarded medals and certificates. COT-SBO Governor Wilmer Mallari concluded the event with a closing a closing remark.
