MALAYBALAY CITY – Bukidnon State University honored 1,493 National Service Training Program completers with 1,238 completers for the Civic Welfare Training Service and 255 for the Literacy Training Service during their 21st Completion Ceremony 2023 held at the University Gymnasium on June 23, 2023.
The CWTS Program composed of 401 males and 837 females; the LTS program consisted 53 males and 202 females. The said ceremony focused on the theme: “FORWARD NSTP TOWARDS SMART LEARNING.”
Malaybalay City Mayor Atty. Jay Warren R. Pabillaran was the invited guest speaker during the ceremony.
The NSTP program launched projects in Four (4) Barangays in Malaybalay City in collaboration with both LTS and CWTS program.
The students under the LTS program were assigned in Barangay 1 Tribal Day Care Center. They were tasked to give lectures on literacy and numeracy and giving learning materials, tables, chairs and for the beautification on the Barangay communal garden.
In Barangay Kalasungay, the students under the CWTS program held a series of symposiums, which aimed for the rights of every child as well as the basic and proper hygiene among the children in the barangay.
They also conducted activities in Barangay San Jose with the theme: “Daycare Center Tabangan Para sa Seguridad ug Kalamboan.” In Barangay 9, the students under the CWTS program also facilitated the beautification of the Barangay Health Center, the renovation of the MRF (Material Recovery Facility), the clean-up drives, and the series of symposiums.
