MALAYBALAY CITY – The College of Technologies conducted its 1st Student Research conference with the theme: “ACT-IT : Adapting to Change through Innovation and Transformation” on June 15, 2022 via Zoom.
Building a culture of research was one focus for the College of Technologies being a pillar of innovation and transformation.
BukSU’s research director, Dr. Lesley C. Lubos graced the said event. Students from the COT Department, faculty and guests were also present in the zoom. In total, there were 130 estimated participants who joined the activity.
The conference was participated by a total of 40 research papers from the different tracks which were presented in parallel sessions. The Automotive Technology track had a total of 2 papers, Entertainment and Media Computing track with 4 papers, Food Technology track with 5 papers, Electronics Technology track with 11 papers, and 18 papers from the Information Technology track.
The researchers were able to present their methods, results, and further recommendations. Students from their respective programs had the opportunity to ask questions related to their studies.
“The research projects/capstone given by the 4th year students are truly inspiring. They promoted developments from various areas of the BukSU campus and also solved issues in the community as well. Job well done to all of them”, said one of the 2nd year students.
Participants were given their Certificate of Recognition as a way to recognize their efforts in completing their studies and sharing their expertise to a wide audience. (Raul Lecaros, IT)
