Student Commission on Election successfully administered the 2019 University-wide student election last March 14, 2019. Results of the USG election was released 1 hour after the closing of precincts. Mr. Joseph L. Gelacio from Inobatibo partylist was declared the new SSC president for S.Y 2019-2020 garnering 4060 out of 7223 votes. Prior to the election, Comelec conducted the following activity highlights:
- Orientation of running candidates (March 07, 2019)
- Harapan; Gubernatorial Debate (March 11-12, 2019)
- DXBU guesting of candidates for interview and platform sharing (March 12, 2019)
- Miting de Avance (March 13, 2019)
- Annual Brace D’link was conducted last March 18, 2019, 1:00-3:00 PM at the University Gymnasium. Students and 15 offices/units participated in the open forum of concerns, comments and suggestions on university services.
- The University Student Government conducted an In-house Training, Seminar, and Workshop on June 8-10, 2019 at the Audio Visual Center, participated by the SSC and SBOs.
- The University Student Government (SSC, SBOs, and Collegianer) made use of the Student Information Management System (SIMS) in collecting fees from the students during the enrollment period.
- SSC spearheaded Mr. and Ms. BukSU during the university intramurals (October 13-17, 2019) at the Malaybalay Folk Arts Theatre. The candidates also conducted feeding program at Brgy. Casisang Day Care Center. Mr. Joseph Alexander Quimpo and Ms. Mariel Basinga were crowned as Mr. & Ms. BukSU 2019.
- The SSC in cooperation with the different recognized clubs and organizations participated in the “Pakiglambigit 2019” during the intramurals wherein they set up booths showcasing their products as part of their income-generating projects.
- The Supreme Student Council spearheaded the Recognition of Clubs and Organizations where 49 clubs and organizations were recognized last August 28, 2019 at the University Gymnasium.
- BukSU Supreme Student Council officers Joseph Gelacio (SSC President), Riche Molo (SSC VP) and OSS Faculty Associate Ms. Jasmin Israel attended the 2019 National Student Leaders’ Summit at DAP Conference Center, Tagaytay City last November 24-25, 2019.
- Matigda Yearbook Publication released the yearbooks to S.Y. 2018-2019 graduates. The yearbook was released two weeks prior to the graduation day.
- Collegianer, the official student publication of Bukidnon State Univeristy released the Volume 2 Issue no. 2, for 2nd Semester S.Y 2018-2019 last July 2019.

OSS gets automated as application for Entrance Examination takes place online. The office launched an online platform where applicants could fill-in the form at their own accord and eliminate the hassle of paper-and-pen application.

Continuous service during COVID-19. The OSS conducts BukSU-CAT for S.Y 2020-2021 and facilitated a supervised computerized examination.
