The College of Technologies (COT) celebrated Women’s Month this March 2025 through several meaningful activities designed to empower and recognize women.
Throughout the month, students participated in a Weekly Trivia Challenge, enhancing their awareness of women’s achievements and contributions. The trivia encouraged community involvement and emphasized recognizing women’s roles in various fields.
On March 26, a Women’s Self-Defense Workshop was held at BukSU Valley. Both students and faculty learned essential self-defense skills, helping boost their confidence and personal safety awareness.
An “Empowerment Wall” was created on campus, allowing students to share supportive messages and artwork dedicated to women. The wall became a popular spot for expressing solidarity and encouragement.
In partnership with DXBU, COT organized a live event titled “Career for Women in BSET and BSAT” on March 26-27, 2025. Experts discussed career opportunities and addressed challenges women face in Business Systems Engineering Technology (BSET) and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology (BSAT). The event was broadcast live on the DXBU, COT, and COT SBO Facebook pages, engaging a broad audience and promoting conversations around gender equality in professional settings. (Louie Jay S.
