The Bukidnon State University (BukSU), through its College of Technologies (COT) and the International Affairs and Linkages Unit (IALU), hosted the Virtual International Lecture Series titled “AI in Technologies: Innovations and Applications Across Industries” on March 25 to 28, 2025, at the BukSU Audio Visual Center and virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live.
The four-day event was participated in by the students, faculty members, and international partners through an academic exchange focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across multiple sectors.
Through lectures and hands-on workshops, BukSU faculty and students explored how AI has reshaped automation, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, education, and other fields.
The University was honored to host Dr. Johannes Bleher, a distinguished German scholar from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany, as the keynote speaker and facilitator.
Dr. Bleher delivered in-depth sessions on data science, neural networks, machine learning, computer vision, and agentic AI systems.
His engaging teaching approach and hands-on activities were made possible by the generous support of the University of Hohenheim, by allowing BukSU to access and utilize its digital learning platforms and resources during the series.
This gesture of academic solidarity enriched the experience and underscored the value of international partnerships in advancing global education and research.
The dynamic discussions and their practical applications helped deepen participants’ understanding of cutting-edge AI technologies and their practical applications. (Robmarychris Agnes V. Candano, COT Faculty)
