MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) All 27 graduates of Bukidnon State University College of Nursing have passed the Nursing Licensure Examinations in November 2019, their first attempt, according to the results released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on December 6, 2019.
The college garnered another 100 percent passing rate for the first takers and overall total of 96.43% with the re-takers.
The recent NLE was held on November 16-17, 2019.
According to the College of Nursing, the 27 new registered nurses are as follows:
Dr. Carina Joane V. Barroso, CON Dean, thanked the University President Dr. Oscar B. Cabanelez, OIC-VPAA/ VPREIA Dr. Joy Mirasol, Dr. Estela Itaas and VPAPD Mr. Dante Victoria for the guidance and for the all-out support of the College’s programs and activities to ensure higher passing percentage.
“Expressing my overwhelming gratitude to the parents and guardians who trusted the College in providing programs that have prepared our students for their NLE and to the CON faculty who have done hard work in teaching and providing essential instructional and experiential learning to these newly registered nurses,” said Dr. Barroso.
She hailed the newly registered nurses for bringing pride and honor to the college.
“It is not easy to achieve 100% passing percentage but you all made this into reality because of your hard work and determination. Please know that we are all so proud of you,” she added.
The PRC announced that only 7,627 out of 13,816 takers passed the administered exam held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban and Tugegarao by the Board of Nursing (BoN) headed by its chairman, Glenda S. Arquiza, and its members, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Gloria B. Arcos, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Anonuevo. (By Ms. Aubrey S.
