Bukidnon State University Alubijid Campus conducted the “Share the Love, Share the Life: Love Month Blood Drive” on February 10, 2025.
The blood drive aimed to raise awareness about the urgent need for blood donations while educating the public on how they can contribute to saving lives.
Organized in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross-Cagayan de Oro Chapter and Barangay Poblacion, the Alubijid Council has gained a positive response from students, faculty, and staff who lined up to donate blood.
Medical professionals and volunteers facilitated the donation process to ensure a safe and efficient experience for all participants.
Dr. Lovah B. Saburao, DRRM coordinator, mentioned that the blood drive not only addressed the immediate need for blood supplies but also fostered a culture of generosity and social consciousness among community members.
“This event serves as a reminder that a single act of kindness, such as donating blood, can make a significant difference in someone’s life,” she stated.
Following the success of this year’s blood drive, Alubijid Campus plans to organize another donation drive in April 2025 in partnership with Rural Health Unit-Alubijid. (Angelica Aldovino, BukSU Alubijid Faculty)
