Two hundred twenty-two faculty members of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) took an oath to confirm their rank reclassification on May 6, 2024, at the Mini Theater.
The rank promotion was the result of a tedious process by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), aligning with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM)-CHED Joint Circular No. 3, series of 2022 entitled, “Guidelines on the Reclassification of Faculty Positions in State Universities and Colleges.
The reclassification of BukSU faculty members encompasses various ranks, including one Professor V, one Professor IV, one Professor III, 25 Associate Professor V, 13 Associate Professor IV, 13 Associate Professor III, 13 Associate Professor II, 12 Associate Professor I, 16 Assistant Professor IV, 10 Assistant Professor III, 10 Assistant Professor II, 17 Assistant Professor I, 60 Instructor III, and 30 Instructor II.
Among those reclassified is Ms. Aubrey S. Edio from the College of Nursing. With seven years of service to BukSU, she has ascended from her previous rank of Assistant Professor II to the position of Associate Professor I.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities that BukSU has given me. Not only did I learn so much, but I also made great friends and had tons of fun along the way. I am excited about what lies ahead. The opportunities given by BukSU mean a lot to me, and I can’t wait to see where they would take me,” Edio said.
University President, Dr. Joy M. Mirasol ensured continued support to faculty members and encouraged them to explore the limits of their potential.
