MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) Bukidnon State University President Dr. Oscar B. Cabańelez has appointed a new Dean of Student Services, along with other new designations in the university, effective the first semester Academic Year 2020-2021.
Dr. Cabańelez, based on Memorandum No. 101 series of 2020 issued on August 10, 2020, appointed current College of Administration Dean Dr. Lorenzo B. Dinlayan III as BukSU’s new Dean of Student Services. He will swap designations with current dean Dr. Lalevie C. Lubos. Both officials will assume their new posts from August 24, 2020 to July 31, 2021.
Dr. Dinlayan, a professor who rose from the ranks, was chairperson of the Government Affairs Department of the then College of Business (COB) before being appointed COB Dean on November 4, 2019. Dr. Lubos has served as Dean of Student Services for six years.
The university has re-aligned, among others, the College of Business and the College of Education. The COB is now divided into two colleges, the COB mother college – home to the BS Business Administration, BS Accountancy and the BS Hospitality Management; and the College of Administration (COA), which now houses the Public Administration and the Educational Administration programs.
Dr. Dinlayan will serve as con-current Program Coordinator of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) of COA.
Dr. Cabańelez has also appointed other personnel to specific designations, including Ms. Desiree A. Barroso, current chairperson of the COE Bachelor of Secondary Education as the new Principal of the BukSU Secondary School Laboratory. She will replace the late Dr. Reynaldo Oton, who died recently.
The President also named appointees to new university designations: Atty. Ophelia Pilar E. Rubio-Zamora as the Data Privacy Officer and con-current Technical Assistant for the Office of the President. He also named Mr. Roberto G. Alli III, from the College of Nursing, as the university’s Safety and Health Officer.
