







MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) Bukidnon State University is holding a week-long Virtual Academic Orientation for its thousands of enrolled students from August 24 to 28, 2020 via Facebook Live.
Based on the announcement from the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the academic orientation will be delivered following a modular approach for webcast in the university’s official social media account “BUKSU Bukidnon State University”.
On August 24, 2020, the university president, Dr. Oscar B. Cabańelez, will give a message to welcome the students to the opening of the academic year.
After the President’s message, Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela, VP for Academic Affairs, will give the module on Vision, Mission, Goals and Outcomes of the university.
On August 25 to 26, 2020, Dr. Mariza P. Manlagaylay will lead a team to give the module on Advocating Mental Health Amidst COVID-19. She will give the input on Understanding Mental Health. Ms. Evangeline C. Digamon will give inputs on Coping with the New Normal. Ms. Juicy Messhalyn C. Coralat will share on Seeking Help and Finding Support. Dr. Xyle Fe A. Verbal will deliver inputs on Positive Psychology and Resilience.
Dr. Rizza R. Consad will lead a team who will deliver the Flexible Learning System on August 27 to 28, 2020. Dr. Consad heads the newly-created Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL). The rest of the members of the team are Ms. Lora E. Ańar, Ms. Cecile Marie T. Improgo and Mr. John Dale S. Belderol. The daily sessions will be held from 9:00a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Dr. Abejuela told BukSU faculty during the cascading of university policies that while students attend to their academic orientation modules, the faculty will prepare their class lists and other materials during the week.
