Bukidnon State University (BukSU) unveiled the Wall of Excellence at the Finance Building and inaugurated the Heritage Hall at the University Library during its 102nd Founding Anniversary celebration.
The Wall of Excellence features BukSU’s recognitions, accreditations, rankings, and institutional milestones.
BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol said the Wall of Excellence extends beyond displaying awards and recognitions.
“At first glance, it is a collection of recognitions, accreditations, rankings, and milestones. But beyond these inscriptions lies something far greater. This wall tells the story of our university,” Mirasol said.
She said the installation acknowledges the contributions of university leaders, faculty members, researchers, administrative and support personnel, students, alumni, partners, local communities, and satellite campuses throughout BukSU’s history.
“Every recognition displayed here reflects the quiet dedication of countless individuals,” she said.
Mirasol said the Wall of Excellence also serves as a reminder of the principles that guided the university over the past 102 years.

“As we unveil this Wall of Excellence, may we remember that awards commemorate moments, but values build institutions. Rankings may change, and recognitions may multiply, but what must remain constant is our commitment to transforming lives and serving society with humility and excellence,” she said.
Library exhibition preserves institutional memory
The university also opened the Heritage Hall inside the University Library to preserve BukSU’s institutional memory and provide a dedicated space for its historical collections.
University Library Supervisor Chandrani Yves E. Estrada said the Heritage Hall chronicles the university’s journey from its early years through its institutional development.
“The BukSU Heritage Hall is established to preserve and celebrate that journey,” Estrada said.
She said the exhibition presents the university’s beginnings, major milestones, former leaders, notable personalities, and institutional transformation.

“As Bukidnon State University continues to grow and transform, it becomes even more important to safeguard our institutional memory—to remember where we started, recognize the individuals whose dedication helped build this University, and inspire future generations to uphold the values of excellence, service, and integrity,” she said.
