
Students from the Bukidnon State University (BukSU) College of Technologies (COT) secured top placements during the National ICT Month Celebration held at Robinsons Place Valencia on June 11, 2026.
The event was organized by the City Government of Valencia, as they joined a nationwide observance celebration of the National ICT Month 2026 and highlighted the role of Information and Communications Technology in nation-building, innovation, education, governance, business, and community development.
This year’s celebration carried the theme, “Bridging Divides, Powering Innovations, and Empowering the Next-Gen Global Valencianos.”
As part of the “Linaw, Hapsay, Bibo: Valencia Goes Digital” program, third-year Information Technology students Philip Lee Artianza, Kate Alysabelle Castro, John Pruds Colot, Erwin Lanzaderas, and Jino Taer emerged as champions in the Innova Hackathon, one of the event’s featured competitions.
Meanwhile, Kent Ravi C. Pepito, a student from the Entertainment and Multimedia Computing program, earned the 2nd Runner-Up title in the Digital Poster-Making Competition.
