Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has been named the No. 1 nursing school in the Philippines in the November 2025 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination after posting a 100% passing rate among its 129 examinees.
Two BukSU’s College of Nursing (CON) graduates placed among the national topnotchers. Raymond Zachary S. Tiu earned a 93% rating, placing fifth overall. Vernel Jess V. Asparin ranked tenth with a 92% score.

“Truly and immensely grateful to God, to the BukSU administration led by Dr. Joy M. Mirasol for the continued support, to the BukSU CON teachers, staff, and students who prayed for and supported our NLE takers throughout their nursing journey, to the parents and guardians for their sacrifices, and to all BukSU NLE takers and topnotchers for doing their best to reach this milestone.
An early Christmas gift indeed!” said CON Dean Dr. Ma. Algerica T. Cuenco. Data released by the Professional Regulation Commission showed that BukSU’s 129 takers passed the exam, resulting in a perfect outcome for the university in this licensure cycle.
The results come from a national total of 45,192 examinees, with 40,692 successfully passing, equivalent to a 90.04% passing rate across the country. BukSU ranked first among institutions with at least 100 examinees. (Dr. Zenas Paloma/ College of Nursing faculty member)
