Bukidnon State University (BukSU) made its debut in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, placing in the 801–1000 bracket out of 2,526 universities worldwide.
The rankings evaluate education institutions based on their progress toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among 113 Philippine institutions assessed, BukSU ranked in the top 4 and tied for the highest position in Northern Mindanao with Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).

The overall Impact Rankings “identify and celebrate universities that demonstrate comprehensive excellence in contributing to global sustainable development,” according to Times Higher Education. “By excelling in a variety of SDGs, these universities showcase their commitment to addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, including environmental sustainability, social inclusion, economic growth and partnerships.”
“This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the BukSU community in advancing inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready education,” said University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol. “Through our shared vision of a Smart BukSU, we continue to make meaningful contributions to local and global development.”
