39 BukSU newly appointed and promoted personnel takes oath

Thirty-nine (39) personnel of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) took oath on September 19, 2024 as newly appointed and promoted employees across the main and component campuses of BukSU, facilitated by the Human Resource Management Unit at the BukSU Mini Theater.

Among them was Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela, current Vice President for Academic Affairs, who took oath as a University Professor. Thirty-two others took pledge as Instructors I, three Associate Professors V, one Associate Professor IV, one Professor I, and one Administrative Officer II (Management and Audit Analyst I). 

SMART BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, delivered the message for the employees and a challenge for the educators.

“We gather today to celebrate the occasion of the Oath-Taking Ceremony for our newly appointed and promoted teaching and non-teaching employees of Bukidnon State University, the fifth batch since last year’s oath-taking. This event highlights not only individual achievements but also the shared commitment to professionalism and institutional growth that supports the development and growth of our workforce. Let us recognize the responsibilities of these new positions and the profound impact they will have on shaping the future of our students, our institution, and the larger community we serve. Congratulations to all, and may your journey be one of continued growth, success, and meaningful impact,” President Mirasol shared.

University Professor Abejuela shared a response on behalf of the batch.

“After 31 years I have finally obtained (University Professor), through those years, it was really all about the hard work and dedication. In BukSU, we are given an equal footing, for that we are thankful to the administration for putting premium on our professional advancement either through promotion or reclassification. Ma’am Joy and to the rest of the administration, your support truly inspires us and shows us how dedicated you are to fostering a vibrant team here at Bukidnon State University. At the core of our university is the SMART Workforce, one that is SMART—Strategic, Motivated, Adaptive, Resilient and Tech-savvy. Today, we have made a solemn promise to our God as sacred oath to wholeheartedly commit to the vision, mission, and goals of BukSU. Let us believe in our abilities not just for our own growth for the collective betterment of university for the next 100 years or so,” she shared. BukSU also welcomed the newly oath faculty members of the new additional college, the College of Medicine, who was enjoined with the College Dean, Dr. Ruth S. Beltran. (BukSU-Information Unit)
