When Bukidnon State University (BukSU) was established in 1924 as Bukidnon Provincial High School, it held the promise of providing quality education to its students. Now, a century later, the institution remains true to its mission of molding professionals who champion sustainability through outstanding contributions to education, research, extension, and production.
As BukSU commemorates its centennial this year, the university is calling on all its students, personnel, alumni, and the entire community to take part in the series of activities that highlight the institution’s rich history and showcase its vibrant culture.
“We stand proudly upon the rich history of our hundred years of existence. From our beginnings as a two-year secondary school named Bukidnon Provincial High School, BukSU has blossomed into a beacon of knowledge, nurturing generations of leaders and thinkers who have transformed the region and the nation. As we turn the page to a new chapter, we celebrate our history and turn our gaze towards the horizon. The world evolves rapidly, and BukSU must remain at the forefront,” said University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.
