MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) –Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre pushed for the adoption of Smart Offices in times of pandemic during the Commission on Higher Education’s virtual flag raising ceremony on May 30, 2022.
He noted that adopting Smart Office technologies could be quite intimidating and costly.
“We must remember that we should always be open for improvements and embrace innovations especially in our workplace,” Commissioner Libre said.

Atty. Dionel O. Albina, Chancellor of USTP Cagayan de Oro and a present leader and mentor of young faculty of Electrical Engineering Professors, further expounded on the need to push for Smart office.
He said an office is smart in its operability and interactivity and the people that brings in Smart Office.
“We have been bombarded with so many things which makes it difficult to manage. Somehow, office time is very limited, but with the concept of Smart Office you can still work anywhere,” he added.
Atty. Albina said CHED Memorandum Order No. 9 Series of 2020 has mandated state universities and colleges (SUCs) to demonstrate an innovative workplace through ICT infrastructure and office automation technologies towards an office 4.0-ready workplace to help attain institutional goals.
“Our team is very much committed to work with CHED, so that the plans to transform into a Smart Office will be realized,” he added.
