






Bukidnon State University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol represented BukSU in the 1st State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Executive Forum 2025, on June 9 – 10, 2025, in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Organized under the leadership of CHED Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III, D. Eng., PCPE, gathered presidents and key officials of SUCs under his charge to engage in strategic dialogue on governance, policy directions, and the evolving challenges in Philippine higher education.
Joining President Mirasol were Ms. Joanne Vivien B. Necosia, Director of the Presidential Management Staff, and Ms. Juliecriz B. Mallari, Executive Assistant to the President.
The BukSU delegation participated in discussions aimed at strengthening institutional leadership, legal compliance, digitization efforts, and mental wellness support systems across SUCs.
Key presentations were being delivered by Dr. Lora Yusi, Regional Director of CHEDRO III; Atty. James Lee Cundangan, Assistant Solicitor General of the Office of the Solicitor General; Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, OIC Regional Director of CHEDRO IX; and Dr. Emmanuel Silan, Director of NLP Master Practitioners.
The forum features indepth sessions on SUC board protocols, updated legal and procedural requirements, CHED policies and guidelines, and practical approaches to addressing legal and administrative concerns in higher education institutions.
Co-sponsored by Jose Rizal Memorial State University and Cotabato State University, the forum has convened 28 SUC Presidents, executive assistants, and university officials from across the country.
