MALAYBALAY CITY (IPS) TWENTY graduates from three programs of the College of Social Development and Technology (CSDT) passed pre-employment examinations held by a giant food and beverage firm in the main campus on June 24, 2019.
The San Miguel Brewery, Inc.- Mindanao conducted preliminary examinations for various employment opportunities for CSDT graduates.
The University Guidance Center, in partnership with CSDT, facilitated the three-hour exams at the Automotive Laboratory, under the care of Mr. Rene M. Chavez, Automotive Technology Chairperson. About 70 alumni of the BS Automotive Technology, BS Electronics Technology and BS Food Technology programs took the exams. Most of them were unemployed by then and were excited about the prospect of employment in a company reaching out to applicants.
Mr. Joseph S. Ondap, Human Resource Manager of SMB- Mindanao, recognized the talents of BukSU graduates and expressed his desire to recruit them. Mr. Ondap is a regular attendee to UGC’s annual Job Fair and had always wanted to hire CSDT graduates. He was not satisfied with the number of recruits from the Job Fair, so he opted for a special recruitment activity.
“BukSU graduates have excellent work ethics and are really hard working,” he added. Mr. Ondap said passers will undergo panel interviews before a selection board. If accepted, they will be assigned in SMBI Opol or Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. San Miguel Brewery, Inc. is one of the biggest company in the Philippines. (Shaila Anne R.
