Ms. Katherine Lou P. Bandas, Ms. Melanie C. Leswe and Ms. Queenie T. Alenton of the Accounting Office attended the 38th Annual Convention of the Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA) on April 27-30, 2016 with the theme “Building Global Partnerships Through Knowledge Sharing” at Ibalong Centrum for Recreation, Legazpi City.
The purpose of the convention was to bring together Accountants and their co-workers the government office to discuss relevant matters that were geared towards excellence in public service.
The four-day convention was opened by the GACPA National President, Mr. Wilfredo Agito. The convention covers the following sessions: Citizen’s Participatory Audit, Updates in Accounting and Auditing Reforms, Performance Governance System in the Accountancy profession, and Budgeting reforms. The open forum after every session appropriately stressed the concerns and queries of the attendees regarding the speakers’ presentations.
As a whole, the BukSU participants found the convention informative and relevant to the university’s efficient delivery of services.
