History
The BukSU Printing Press holds a significant place in the university’s history, having pioneered its Income Generating Project (IGP) when it commenced operations in 2012. This initiative marked a crucial step in the university’s efforts towards financial self-sufficiency and resource optimization.
Initially operating independently, the success and expansion of such ventures led to the formal establishment of the Business Affairs Office (BAO) in 2015. The BAO was created to strategically manage and oversee all of the university’s business enterprises, including the Printing Press. This integration ensures that the Printing Press’s operations are aligned with the university’s broader financial strategies and academic priorities, contributing to the institution’s overall financial excellence.
Goals
As part of the Business Affairs Office, the BukSU Printing Press is dedicated to optimizing resource allocation, fostering collaboration among different units, adherence to budgetary constraints, and aligning activities with the university’s strategic objectives. While promoting innovation, sustainability, and excellence across all areas of responsibility, and upholding high standards of service delivery and accountability to stakeholders.
Objective
- To enhance efficiency and service quality at the university printing press by implementing streamlined workflows and adopting innovative printing technologies, ultimately reducing turnaround times and improving customer satisfaction.
