Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has received approval for its revised Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Manual as part of its coordination with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region X on employee recognition policies and supervisory training.
BukSU’s PRAISE Manual sets guidelines for employee recognition, performance incentives and merit-based awards across the university. The manual provides the university with an updated framework for recognizing employee contributions in accordance with established civil service policies.
BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol met with newly appointed CSC Region X Regional Director Atty. Winston L. Plaza and Assistant Regional Director Atty. Hannah D. Examen during a courtesy visit to discuss the university’s human resource policies and their alignment with civil service standards.
The two institutions also discussed preparations for the upcoming in-house Supervisory Development Course (SDC) under the BukSU Academy. The program aims to develop the management and supervisory competencies of the university’s mid-level personnel.
The training initiative is part of BukSU’s human resource development efforts, which include preparing personnel for supervisory responsibilities and aligning institutional practices with national civil service standards.
“BukSU remains committed to strengthening its human resource systems, developing capable leaders, and institutionalizing a culture of meritocracy, accountability, and excellence,” Dr. Janne Claudian Salvaña, HRMO III, said regarding the institution’s alignment with national standards.
Salvaña added that the coordination comes as the CSC transitions toward the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence–Embedded Systems Governance (PRIME-ESG), a regulatory model for public sector human resource management that aims to promote responsive and people-centered governance.
