AACCUP accredits 8 BukSU programs across 3 campuses

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. AACCUP has issued accreditation actions for eight academic programs of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) across its Main, Medina and Talisayan campuses.

The AACCUP board action covers programs at Levels I, III and IV, with accreditation periods ranging from one to five years. The decisions followed program assessments conducted by the agency.

Six programs in the BukSU Main Campus

At BukSU’s Main Campus in Malaybalay City, six programs received accreditation actions.

The Master of Arts in Education, with majors in Educational Administration, English Language Teaching, General Science, Mathematics Education and Mathematics Teaching, retained Level IV accreditation from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031.

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Technology and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management each received Level IV re-accreditation for the same five-year period, from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031.

The Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology and Bachelor of Science in Food Technology received Level III re-accreditation from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The board action requires compliance with mandatory recommendations for the programs. The Food Technology program is also subject to a revisit.

The Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling retained Level IV status, with its accreditation valid from June 16, 2026, to June 15, 2031.

“We are deeply honored to have achieved Level IV Accreditation for the MA in Guidance and Counseling Program—a milestone that, while never easy to attain, reflects the dedication, commitment, and collective effort of our faculty and students,” said MA in Guidance and Counseling Program Chairperson Dr. Mariza P. Manlagaylay.

Manlagaylay said the accreditation validates the program’s curriculum quality and provides a basis for continued improvements as its graduate student cohort expands.

Programs in BukSU Medina and Talisayan Campuses

At the BukSU Medina Campus, the Bachelor of Public Administration received Level I accreditation for the period July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029.

At the BukSU Talisayan Campus, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management also received Level I accreditation for July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029.

AACCUP is an accrediting organization that evaluates and accredits academic programs at state universities and colleges in the Philippines. Its accreditation process involves external evaluation of academic programs against established standards.

The agency’s program evaluations cover areas such as mission, goals and objectives; faculty; curriculum and instruction; students; research; extension and community involvement; library; physical facilities; laboratories; and administration.
