Bukidnon State University worked with government agencies and industry partners during Job Fair 2026 and the Special Recruitment Activity 2026, which created recruitment opportunities for graduating students and alumni.
The employment initiatives were carried out through the Student Welfare and Engagement Unit (SWEU) in collaboration with the Alumni Relations Unit, institutional partners and industry partners.
According to Lora E. Añar, SWEU Director, the activities connected graduating students, alumni and other job seekers with local and overseas employment opportunities while providing opportunities for interaction among the University, government agencies and employers.
The Job Fair 2026 took place on April 30, 2026, at the BukSU Gymnasium in observance of the 124th Labor Day.
Conducted in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Region X–Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (DOLE-X BukPFO), the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the event brought together 37 partner agencies and employers.
Participants submitted applications, underwent on-the-spot interviews and explored employment opportunities across different industries during the job fair.
“Through this collaborative initiative, BukSU reaffirmed its commitment to bridging education and employment by equipping students and alumni with access to meaningful career pathways,” said Añar.
The Special Recruitment Activity 2026 followed on June 4, 2026, at Learning Commons 1. The activity focused on graduating students and alumni from the College of Technologies, particularly those enrolled in the BS Food Technology, BS Electronics Technology and BS Automotive Technology programs.
During the recruitment activity, employers met applicants on campus, accepted application requirements and discussed industry expectations with prospective employees. Three graduating BS Automotive Technology students from the College of Technologies were hired by Toyota Valencia City, Inc.
Añar said that the Job Fair 2026 and the Special Recruitment Activity 2026 extended learning opportunities beyond the classroom by providing venues where graduates could connect with prospective employers and industry representatives while moving from academic study to employment.
