Bukidnon State University (BukSU) hosted Job Fair 2026 at the university gymnasium of the main campus on April 30, 2026.
The Student Welfare and Engagement Unit (SWEU) under the Office of the Vice President for Culture, Arts, Sports, and Student Services (OVPCASSS), and the Alumni Relations Unit (ARU) partnered with government agencies to push for graduate employability with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
According to the OVPCASSS, the job fair was designed specifically for BukSU alumni and the current graduating class to offer opportunities between academic life and the professional world.
A diverse array of employers was present to conduct one-on-one interactions, show diverse options for local positions and international career paths, and on-site screening and consultations with DOLE and DMW representatives.
Menard Labor, a graduating student of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language, was one of the hopeful applicants.
“I want to find a job right after I graduate, instead of just hanging around and waiting for something to happen. I’m looking for a teaching position, a sales specialist role, or a finance supervisor spot… something that really plays to my strengths and abilities. I’m excited to see how it all turns out,” Labor shared.
According to SWEU, employers will hire on-the-spot applicants upon the completion of their interview and the submission of all required documentary credentials. (BukSU – Information Unit)
