Bukidnon State University (BukSU) hosted the ROTC Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026 on April 27, 2026, at the BukSU EduHub campus, led by the Office of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
University officials, military personnel, and hundreds of cadets underwent an evaluation of the unit’s performance, administrative efficiency, and tactical proficiency.
The inspection was led by Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs of the 4th Infantry Division and the RAATI 2026 Chairman Col. Rey P. Pasco.
“The ROTC is a program that prepares students for responsible citizenship, leadership, and national service, which involves discipline and physical training. These elements are tools to build resilience, teamwork, and confidence,” Pasco said.
The tactical evaluation included a series of tests to assess cadets’ readiness and skills.
The assessment began with a Ceremonial Parade and Inspection in Ranks, focusing on discipline and military bearing. Following the formal inspection, the evaluation shifted to field operations, where cadets executed Tactical Drills including company-level maneuvers, Small Unit Tactics (SUT), and simulated “Raid or Ambush” scenarios.
Cadets demonstrated proficiency in map reading, knot tying, and the rapid assembly and disassembly of 5.56 mm rifles.
Participants completed theoretical examinations and performed practical demonstrations of First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, BukSU President, commended the cadets for their grit and long hours of preparation. She linked the rigors of ROTC training to the university’s core values of Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, and Culture-Sensitivity.
“Being DASIG means showing determination even when things are difficult, being adaptable in any situation, serving with purpose, acting with integrity, and having the grit to keep going,” Dr. Mirasol stated, emphasizing that the inspection is an opportunity for growth rather than just a compliance exercise.
