Students from Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound in Texas, USA joined Bukidnon State University’s International Students’ Forum “Learning Across Borders,” held on April 21, 2026, at the EduHub campus of the BukSU Elementary Laboratory School (ELS), for an intercultural learning activity with ELS learners.
The forum brought together Grade 4 to Grade 6 BukSU ELS learners and Filipino-American student guests Breck Tyler Smith, Kai Ian Smith, and Finnick James Smith.
Designed as an interactive and child-oriented program, the forum featured performances, guided conversations, and collaborative activities. These activities provided opportunities for learners to share cultural practices, ask questions, and engage in discussions.
According to Rachel Joan T. Toledo, ELS department head, the program aims to show appreciation for different cultures through participation and observation, communicate ideas and questions in English, demonstrate respect during intercultural interactions, and share cultural practices through performance and discussion. “This forum shows us that learning goes beyond classrooms and borders—it connects hearts and minds across cultures,” Toledo said. “May you carry with you the values of openness, respect, and global friendship.”
