






The Office of the Municipal Engineer from the local government unit (LGU) of Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte conducted a benchmarking activity at Bukidnon State University to gain insights into its environmentally sustainable building practices on August 22, 2024.
The team from Sto. Tomas LGU was led by Acting Municipal Engineer Regene C. Quinones, and Municipal Disaster Risk Reducation and Management Officer Engr. Mario Rebote.
Arch. Windel D. Bragat, head of BukSU’s Project Management Unit, engaged the visitors in discussions about the university’s green initiatives, including the installation of solar panels and rain catchment system.
The primary focus of the benchmarking activity was to explore innovative approaches in building design and operations that align with environmental sustainability.
The benchmarking visit formed part of the LGU’s broader efforts to incorporate sustainable practices in their infrastructure projects, ensuring that future developments in Sto.
